Here's a round up of Nora's favorite toys/pasttimes. She gets plenty of playtime at daycare, so it's amazing to see all the things she learns.

Kitchen + "foodies"

Baby dolls

Finger Paints: She loves to moosh all the paint around. Nora also enjoys using with markers/crayons, glue and paper.

Play Doh: She can make "Slimey" the Worm, one of her favorite Sesame Street characters. She also likes when we form little "babies" out of play doh, and when we make pretend foodies.

Magna Doodle: She asks us to draw Sesame Street characters + "Mama" or "Papa" or "Nora." She also likes when we trace her hand and then draw a little turkey out of it.

Mr. Potato Head

Puzzles: She is getting very good at doing these. She'll even try to "quiz" me by pretending to try every spot, even though she can immediately tell me where it should go.

Nursery Rhymes

Nora has been really into singing nursery rhymes and other kids songs (ABCs -- She can sing the ABCs all the way through! -- Wheels on the Bus, Raffi songs, etc.). We'll often catch her singing to herself, too.

It's been a while

Hi everyone! It's me, Nora!

I've been growing so quickly that my Mama and Papa can barely keep up with me. Here's a quick recap of what's been going on since the last time this was updated:

-- I'm WALKING! Here's a video of me playing chase with my Papa.

-- And if you think my walking is cool, you should hear me TALK! I know a lot of words, and I'm even speaking in short sentences. My favorite words are Mama, Papa, no, hello, and Elmo. But I can also say lots of names for food, toys, animals, and people. Here's a video of me talking and playing first thing in the morning.

-- I had a birthday party when I turned 1 (Mama and I shared the party, since her birthday is so close to mine.)

Nona helps me cut my cake.

Nona came to stay with us for more than a month. We had so much fun together. She was even here when we moved to our new apartment. Pop-Pop and Aunt Bethie came to visit for a little bit too. While they were here we all went to a big family reunion party that Nona put together.

I said my first word at the party: "bubbles."

Also this summer we went to CA for my Uncle Mark's wedding. It was very fun, and I had a great time with my cousins.

- I started going to daycare in July. I love it there. I have so much fun playing with my friends. I learn so much there too, from new words to new games. Some of my favorite toys to play with are baby dolls, Play Doh, and books. When the weather is not too bad, we spend a lot of time outside. Here's me with my buddy DD.

- I had 2 Halloween costumes: I was a cowgirl (Thanks for the costume, Nona!) and I was Pebbles Flintstone as part of a group costume for a party -- we all won best team costume. I had lots of fun trick or treating with my daycare buddies. (That's my daycare friend Zoe in the picture.)

The Jolleys as "The Rubbles" and The Ciaramellos as "The Flinstones."

-- Last weekend I helped decorate our apartment for Christmas. Here's a photo of me putting up ornaments on our tree. I already have a presents under there. I'm not sure if they're all for me, but I hope some of them are!

We'll be in NY for Christmas, but soon I'll be going to AZ to see everyone for New Year's.

Warm weather

Whenever it's sunny outside, I wear my Pooh hat because I don't like having the sun in my eyes. Sometimes when it's really bright I'll also wear my sunglasses.

Memorial Day at the park

We spent some time at Cass Park on Monday, just enjoying the weather and each other's company. We brought a picnic lunch from Wendy's. Here's a video of me eating french fries. As I say in the video, they were "gooood."

Last weekend we went to Charlotte, N.C. for our friends Dave and Julie's wedding. It was so much fun! I got tons of attention from everyone, and my mama and papa let me stay up past bedtime both nights.

Plus, we got to stay at a really nice hotel, where I got my very own crib to sleep in.
